2009 La Sirena Art Bus Red
One of the most whimsical offerings in La Sirena's 30+ year history, Art Bus Red was produced in 08, 09, 12, 14, and 16 vintages and is now a true collector's item. This Barrett Estate Cab-Syrah blend features a colorful label of Heidi behind the wheel of her real-life Art Bus. The predecessor of our La Sirena Studio Series, Art Bus Red always had its cult following, and we're excited to bring this unique and personal wine back for a limited time.
Updated tasting notes:
Deep garnet in color, with the faintest hint of brick red appearing near the edge. On the nose, it presents soft black fruit and plum spice cake character and cardamom, along with some tertiary notes of saddle leather, dried flowers, hoisin sauce, and gravel. On the palate, it’s medium weight and softened, a bit savory, giving flavors of black fruit, cooked plum sauce, and flower petal tea. The finish is long, complex and elegant. Cellar aging has developed this wine nicely - we recommend drinking now or within 1-2 years.
