The 2016 Cab is ripe and concentrated, darkly colored and very aromatic in the glass. Immediate notes of blackberry pie, plum, and black cherry are rounded out with 5 spice, cedar, and an accent of toasty French oak. Big flavors meld with a plush, velvety texture on the palate - tannins are velvety and integrated, providing the structure to make this wine cellar-worthy for many years to come. A strong initial burst of flavor followed by a round mid-palate, culminating in a long finish - it’s a complete wine that leaves a lasting impression. A gorgeous, classic expression of Napa Valley Cabernet - powerful and well-balanced.
