The 2009 Cab blend is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cab Franc. Only 352 cases were produced, plus 120 gorgeous etched gold leafed magnums that I hand sign.

The 2009 vintage produced wines of classic ripeness that will have great longevity. Radiant deep garnet in color with “Wow” aromas of sweet ripe cherries, currants, and wild blackberries. Caramel toasty sweetness from a mix of new and experienced French oak barrels leads to a silky yet explosive mouthful of delicious Cabernet. Tannins are moderate and add structure and texture without dryness. The overall impression is of a big luxurious Cabernet with impeccable balance and finesse. A very pure, layered wine with persistent flavors and a long yummy finish. One of the best vintages of the decade. Enjoy!
